Linde T20-24 SP wins coveted design award

Linde Material Handling honored

"Red Dot: Best Of The Best", one of the world's most highly recognized design awards, was presented to the Linde T20 SP/T24 SP electric stand-on pallet truck in the category of machines, systems and components at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, on July 4. In all, the international panel of judges bestowed "Red Dot" honors on 421 products. Of these, 33 received the "Red Dot: Best Of The Best" special distinction for exemplary design.

Conferred annually by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, the award is described as a mark of both product quality and a manufacturer's powers of innovation. Excellence in product design is said to be more and more proving a selling point and major success factor in global business, where international competition is strong. Together with technical innovation, product design aligned more closely to the customer target group is steadily gaining importance. In their citation, the judges commended the accomplished union of styling and ergonomics in the Linde pallet truck. The T20 SP/T24 SP is quoted as an example of how working conditions may be improved by skillful design. The image imparted to the warehouse truck by its external design is assessed as one of dynamism, agility and efficiency. In combination with its precision of control, quiet running, intelligent structural concept and operator comfort it reflects a new aesthetic idiom in design of the classical rider-platform pallet truck.
